AI PRD generator
AI PRD generator that writes from your client calls
Most PRD generators write from a one-line idea you type in. TaskyTrack is an AI PRD generator that writes the product requirements document from what your client actually said on the call, so every requirement traces back to the conversation. Paste a transcript or send our note-taker to the meeting, then review a draft with features, a data schema, a UI direction, assumptions and open questions. The free plan includes 3 specs a month, no card required.
Why most PRDs miss what the client said
Written from memory
By the time someone writes the PRD, the call is a day old. The details mentioned once, like a second user role or a fixed launch date, are the first to disappear.
Written from a one-line prompt
A typical AI specification tool starts from the idea you type in. It fills the gaps with generic features, so the PRD describes a typical app instead of your client's.
Impossible to trace back
When a requirement is questioned mid-build, nobody can say whether the client asked for it or someone assumed it. That is where disputes and unpaid work start.
How the AI PRD generator works
- 1
Capture the call
Paste a transcript from Zoom, Google Meet, Otter, Fireflies or any other tool, send our note-taker to the meeting with a link, or connect your calendar so it joins the calls you choose (Pro and Max). You can also attach reference documents.
- 2
AI drafts the PRD
A leading third-party AI model reads the whole conversation and writes the PRD: the project type, feature-by-feature requirements, a data schema, a UI direction, and the assumptions and open questions still to resolve.
- 3
Review and approve
Every part is editable. Change any requirement, table or theme value, then approve the PRD when it matches what the client asked for. Nothing is handed off until you approve it.
- 4
Hand off
Download spec.md, copy the PRD as a ready-to-paste prompt for an AI coding tool, scaffold a starter GitHub repo (Pro and Max), or let AI coding tools read approved specs through the MCP connector (Pro and Max).
What is in the PRD
Every PRD follows the same structure, matched to how much detail the client gave you. Think of it as a product requirements document generator that only writes down what the conversation supports:
- The project type, decided first, so a marketing website is not treated like a SaaS app.
- Feature-by-feature requirements with priorities, written page by page for websites.
- A data schema with tables and fields, included only when the client described data the product needs to store.
- A UI direction: colors, mode and fonts that match the look the client described.
- Assumptions, listed separately so the client can confirm or correct them.
- Open questions to answer before anyone starts building.
If you were looking for an SRS generator AI tool, the PRD covers the functional core of a software requirements specification (the requirements and the data model) without the formal IEEE sections.
Who it is for
Agencies scoping client projects use it to quote from a written spec instead of memory and to get client sign-off on the same document the team builds from.
Freelance developers and designers use it to turn a casual call into a fixed-scope brief they can price, without spending unbilled evenings writing it.
Product builders and in-house teams use it as an AI requirements gathering tool: the requirements stay attached to what was said in the room, so engineering gets the context along with the list.
Hand off to AI coding tools
An AI coding tool builds better from a structured PRD than from a one-line idea, because the feature list, data schema and UI direction answer the questions it would otherwise guess. Copy the PRD as a prompt for Cursor, v0, Bolt.new, Lovable, Claude Code or Windsurf, or commit spec.md to your repo so the agent can refer back to it. See how to use your spec with AI coding tools.

What changes when the PRD comes from the call
- Every requirement traces back to something the client said
- No invented login, payments or admin screens
- Open questions surfaced before kickoff, not mid-build
- A PRD ready to review minutes after the call
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free AI PRD generator?
Yes. TaskyTrack's free plan includes 3 specs (PRDs) a month, note-taker recordings up to 15 minutes and 3 note-taker meetings, with no card required. Pasting a transcript works on every plan. Pro is $20 a month for 30 specs, and Max is $100 a month for unlimited specs.
Can it write a PRD from a meeting transcript?
Yes, that is what it is built for. Paste a transcript from any meeting tool, or let our note-taker join the call, and TaskyTrack drafts the PRD from the conversation. For the manual method, see how to turn a meeting transcript into a PRD.
What is the difference between a PRD and a spec?
A PRD (product requirements document) explains what to build and why: goals, users and features. A spec is usually more concrete about how it behaves: data, screens and rules. TaskyTrack's output sits between the two, with requirements plus a data schema and UI direction, so it works as either.
Can I use the PRD with Cursor or Claude Code?
Yes. Copy it as a ready-to-paste prompt, or download spec.md and keep it in your repo for the agent to read. On Pro and Max, AI coding tools can also read your approved specs through the MCP connector. The PRD template for Claude Code shows where the file goes.
Does it work for websites as well as apps?
Yes. TaskyTrack classifies the project type first. For a website it writes requirements page by page and does not add login, payments or a database unless the client described them. For an app it writes feature by feature with a data schema.
Is my client data safe?
Client names, emails and phone numbers are removed before a transcript reaches the AI, and the AI provider does not train on your data. We never sell your data, and you can delete a project at any time. Details are in our privacy policy.
